Contributions about Blue Hawaii Bar

The Blue Hawaii was in the Congress Travel Lodge building. The Hula Hut 24 hour Restaurant was at the back. Later Rosies Diner (Now the LA Cafe) was built on the corner of the building by demolishing some of the short time rooms. These rooms on the lower ground were often used by the working girls who would sleep in the corridor or in the two end rooms if available and they could find space. Later another Bar was opened called the Polynesian Paradise at other end next to reception.

The whole complex had an Island theme. They all had wrap around dresses in bright tropical colors but different for each. Anyone who visited the Blue Hawaii will remember the famous Hula Dance routines. These were further refined and made a scheduled event at the Polynesian Paradise.
