Contributions about Flames Bar
The G-Spot is in "Padre Faura", between Mabini St. and Robinson Mall. Pick up venue for Freelanse Girls
One of the good Ermita bars. I have found that, like BHP mentioned, the real lookers are not always there, but with a little patience, good things usually happen. You seemed to have hit G-Point at the most opportune times.
A great drinking bar. Prices are very affordable. Anyone who likes to get a bit of a glow on early in the day should stop at G-Point. They have their double Happy Hour from noon until 15:00 (03:00 PM). Not only are the prices very low, but you also get two for one.
Example: A stein of Carlsberg (1/2 litre) sells for 55P. During Happy hour, you pay 35P. During double happy hour, you get two big steins for 35P. Imagine ten steins for 175P... This is about $3.25 (USD). You can also buy bottled beer by the bucket, a real bargain.
They have an excellent list of cocktails and they know how to mix them. If there were one area where L.A. Café could improve, it would be their dexterity at mixing cocktails, even simple ones. The owner shows up every day and seems very pleasant. We've exchanged greetings only. I'm not one to start chatting up management, although I will gladly talk with them if they initiate the conversation.
The waitresses have cute, sexy uniforms that change almost every day of the week, a nice touch. Something about a cute sexy body boomba dressed as a nurse...
Once the band(s) start playing, you can forget about long conversations. There are no spots in the bar where the sound level is low. Not a bad thing for most, including myself, but if you just want to drink and chat...
A Bell Ring in Manila means a drink for everyone, not just staffs, everyone in the bar. At G-Point, they have specials where if you ring the bell, you are charged happy hour prices for the drinks or you can send "candy shots" to everyone, a Swedish specialty of Vodka and different juices served in small glasses at 35P each. You decide what everyone gets.
Some ladies work both G-Point and L.A. Café, some work only at G-Point. Evening action is good at G-Point and you should find someone to ring your charms. Daytime can be slow compared to L.A. Café. Then again, it's less than a ten-minute walk from G-Point to L.A. Café and five to AmaZonia and Harry's Bar.
Several ATM's within stumbling distance of G-Point, although you won't need to replenish the wallet; the prices are that cheap. Grub is very good at G-Point with an accent on Scandinavian fare, healthy and filling. If you think you will spend a lot of time at G-Point, the closest hotels are Lotus Garden, City State Tower, Iseya, City Garden and Cherry Blossoms. All within a five minute walk.
G-Point, more and more part of the Ermita folklore. Give it a try.
