Contributions about Yellow Brick Road Bar
The very first bar I was ever in, in Ermita, was "The Yellow Brick Road." I was
staying at the Hilton Hotel (Now, The Pavillion Hotel) and just walked from the
hotel to the bar. It was a dark and somewhat sleezy bar. No dancers and no
entertainers. And this, I thought, is the great "Tourist Belt?"
After quaffing down a semi-cold San Miguel, I went outside, turned to the right,
and walked further down the street and discovered the best group of clubs and
bars I had ever seen on one street... 1977
